Key Responsibilities: Design and undertake system building activities like programming and debugging, testing Develop, test, and maintain Oracle applications (Financial, HR, Payroll, and Procurement). Provide development and maintenance support for Oracle applications (forms, reports & programs). Testing the application code from a technical perspective to verify that programs follow standards and meet technical specifications. Ensures smooth continuation of normal activities during new system installation. Follow documentation templates and standards. Develop additional documents standards for unique circumstances and special business requirements. Analyze, design Database structure & develop applications as per set requirements Implementation and customization of forms and reports in applications (Oracle). Leading applications related projects such as future upgrades, data warehousing and Web-based data access Manage applications security using various available tools to insure optimal security and stability. Design queries and reports as and when required Maintain database integrity by checking and help to solve application data integrity issues Design and undertake system building activities like programming ,debugging , testing and implementing existing or new applications Write complex scripts / batch programs, queries and reports as and when required to develop the applications. Understand the present and future business requirement by business units to prepare customer/ department needs and find workable solutions to keep computer systems up and running. Analyze the users, Business & Reporting requirement and in areas where manual intervention can be avoided by designing & developing applications / reports to automate the process to increase the efficiency, productivity of the organization. Must have experience in Cognos 8 Toolset: Report Studio, Metric Studio, Analysis Studio, Framework Manager (modeling relational and DMR packages) , Metric Designer and Data Manager with knowledge on Cognos security integration with Active Directory Server and know-hows of Cognos Server Architecture. Experience with Cognos Server in Solaris Environment and UNIX scripting skills preferred. Expertise in PL/SQL and .NET programming languages. Knowledge on Websphere and ERP software like oracle e-business suite is a big plus.
