Under broad direction, provides leadership in the design and redesign of compensation programs and processes to ensure that the needs of specified business unit customers are met in an effective and timely manner. Develops and coordinates implementation of programs that provide competitive levels of pay, motivation and reward to employees. Monitors delivery of core compensation processes on a global basis. Ensures that base pay and incentive programs are compatible with business unit goals. Consults with all levels of management on pay practices and related job evaluation, market pricing, systems, competitive assessment and cost management matters, to ensure a harmonized, effective delivery of policies and processes. Manages and coordinates special projects in collaboration with Human Resources and business partners. Provides leadership and guidance to less experienced compensation professionals as required. Job is accountable for a measurable asset such as project or department budgets. Skills are typically acquired through completion of an under graduate degree in Human Resources Management or similar discipline and 8-10 years of compensation experience including plan design and implementation and the management of others. Job also requires certification as a Compensation Professional by World at Work if located in the United States. Graduate degree in Business Administration or similar discipline preferred.
