Location: Dubai, United Arab Emirates

Salary: Up to 40,000 AED

Barclay Simpson are currently working with a well-known corporate bank in the UAE to recruit a Manager for their remedial unit based in Dubai.  This business management function involves medium to long term planning, ensuring an integrated approach with other business management areas, developing and maintaining a centralized framework ensuring robust remedial strategies.

Requirements

• Develops, communicates, and implements a holistic strategy for remediation activities across the Corporate Bank in support of and integrated with the overall business strategy
• Proactively manage all wholesale banking non-performing loans
• Work with clients where credit quality has deteriorated, in order to avoid the bank from facing an impairment
• Day to day management of large corporate restructuring/remedial cases, including strategic decision making, client meetings, overseeing litigation matters, and liaising with coverage colleagues to ensure a consistent approach
• Partner to management and respective teams for remediation; recognizing and anticipating emerging trends and; identifying issues and opportunities and recommending action to senior management
• Acts as a strategic partner by leading relationships with key enterprise partners and interfacing with respective leadership team to effectively manage remediation programs and clarify scope of accountabilities while influencing and aligning others as needed.
• Ensures an integrated and aggregated view of all related activities across remediation programs providing escalations, recommendations, and decision support to leadership.
• Provides functional / business level communications to ensure messages to stakeholders and/or employees are consistent, appropriate and aligned to business strategies and executive management direction.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years of related experience
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to lead in a team environment
• Strong problem solving skills with ability to identify problems, recommend solutions and present recommended approach
• Strong negotiation skills
• Solid understanding of Project Management methodology
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
