Origination, structuring and execution of primary Project Finance and secondary Corporate Finance transactions in Middle East and Pakistan(MENAP) and for the Bank's network/ footprint markets.Origination, structuring and execution of primary Project Finance and secondary Corporate Finance transactions in MENAP and for the Bank's network/ footprint markets. 
The job requires experience, knowledge and judgement of transactional and structural risks including credit risks (bank / corporate), country & cross-border risk, documentation risk, operational risk, performance risk and market risks. Project Finance transactions can be potentially complex and require a multi-disciplinary, problem solving approach. 
This individual is expected to contribute to the financial success of Project & Export Finance MENAP by ensuring the timely, efficient and accurate execution of pipeline transactions. 
The job carries requisite authorities to negotiate transactions with various counterparties and to staff deals with the appropriate Associate(s). 

Key Roles and Responsibilities 
  • Should be able to build and analyze complex, bespoke project finance financial models.
  • Contribute to the quantitative and qualitative performance objectives of the MENAP team.
  • Work closely with Corporate and Institutional Banking MENAP and network/footprint points on deal origination in order to build a good quality pipeline for Project Finance(PF) in MENAP.
  • Structure, execute and support origination efforts for MENAP PF transactions and assist in execution of network PF transactions as needed.
  • Assist in the development of PF marketing materials, including pitch books and RFP materials.
  • Perform research and analysis of opportunities, sectors, and clients to execute the PF strategy.
  • Proactively market and bring new ideas to clients across PEF/CF products. Focus on cross-sell opportunities as well as cross-border clients.
  • Show strong personal leadership and exhibit strong teamwork within PEF/CF.
  • Develop relationships in the PF banking market.
  • Assist in internal matters such as audits, business reviews, etc.
  • Ensure that the PF business conforms to the Global PEF Underwriting Standards, the relevant Product Program and all other bank policies and procedures. Assume primary accountability for proper execution of Project Finance transactions. Maintain a continuous dialogue with team members and Relationship Managers to ensure proper monitoring and control.
  • Act as mentor and coach to junior team members.
  • Contribute to skills development of colleagues in the region by sharing knowledge, experience & expertise.
  • Be the "go to person" within Project Finance for internal stakeholders i.e. Credit, Legal, Operations, and Compliance.


Qualifications and Skills 

  • preferred years of experience in Project Finance, both domestically and internationally.
  • Prior PF deal execution experience preferred; strong documentation skills, working with internal and external counsel.
  • Ability to work independently in negotiating and structuring PF transactions.
  • Strong credit assessment/ analysis and decision skills.
  • Expertise in structuring non-recourse debt in the hydrocarbons, mineral resources, infrastructure, and/or renewable energy sectors.
  • Good understanding of project finance modelling and quantitative analytics.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Undergraduate degree preferred, MBA or CFA preferred.
